FROM YOUR PRESIDENT
By Bob McConnell
Hi!
By the time you read this, our annual picnic will be over. I
am sure this will be the best one ever. This year we are
using C.B. Smith Park, which has beautiful picnic facilities
plus recreational activities (water slide, roller skating,
tennis, etc) for those that want to use them. We will have
door prizes for everyone and some very nice software to give
away in the drawing. A SPECIAL THANKS goes to our V.P., Pat
Ceraolo, who, once again, put the whole picnic together
single handed!
Our T-Shirt/Polo Shirt with ACES logo orders are coming in
very fast now. I expect we will have an order of 200-400
shirts. Most people who are buying, are buying more than
one. Great! I am just sorry we were not able to put the
whole thing together before the picnic. But again, without
the help of Oscar K, we would not be at the ordering stage.
It is the volunteer help of our members that get things
done!
Applefest did not produce anything of great importance,
according to the members that went. No new Apple products of
significance and no great software (unless you count game
software). But then again, we can not expect something new
all the time.
Finally, in closing, Ohio Cache has sent us their Ohio Cache
Card to demo at the meetings. I understand you can load
Appleworks GS in under 20 seconds. I have not read all the
literature yet, but we will begin using it at the M.A.U.G.
meeting in Miami next week.
I will see you at the next chapter meeting!
Bob
